| Sana, the capital of Yemen, located in the western part of the country in the heart of the mountainous region at an altitude of 2286 meters is one of the oldest cities in the world. The main attraction of Sana'a is a well-preserved old town. It is surrounded by the restored sections of walls in height from 6 to 9 m, and inside are more than 100 mosques, 12 hammams and baths, approximately 6,500 buildings, executed in traditional Arabic style. Some buildings of the Old City are aged about 400 years old. The city has many interesting museums: the historical, military, applied art. Highway connects the capital with the seaport of Hodeidah.
